Spring Copenhagen styrker CSR i samarbejde med Plant et Træ

Spring Copenhagen strengthens its CSR efforts in partnership with Plant et Træ

To mark the launch of its new concept, Spring Emotions®, Spring Copenhagen is joining forces with Plant et Træ (Plant a Tree). Over the course of the next year, this partnership will see 400 trees take root in the Danish countryside.

At the same time as a brand-new wooden concept is ready to take flight, Spring Copenhagen is making a serious commitment to strengthening its CSR work.

This is being done in partnership with the charity Plant et Træ, which has planted more than one and a half million trees in Denmark since 1988.

Committed to taking responsibility

The partnership has been in the pipeline for some time, as Spring Copenhagen has sought to strengthen its CSR work since the company’s inception.

For a design company specialising in wood design, it has been crucial to use wood responsibly and to prioritise reforestation.

“As a design company specialising in wood, we are both aware of and committed to making a difference through our work on reforestation. The agreement with Plant et Træ is the first of what we hope will be several initiatives through which we strengthen our CSR work,” says Claus Nielsen, partner at Spring Copenhagen.

Pleased with the increased focus on sustainability

At Plant et Træ, national chairman and head of communications Jens Døssing is looking forward to the collaboration. He is pleased to note that a growing company is also able to focus on CSR and prioritise resources for sustainability work.

“We are delighted that a growing, smaller company like Spring Copenhagen is also prioritising the environment and sustainability. Increased tree planting reduces CO₂ levels, and it gives us the opportunity to plant even more trees together with children in the Danish countryside,” says Jens Døssing.

Local focus at the forefront

Since 1988, Plant et Træ has planted, amongst other things, educational woodlands and orchards at nurseries and childcare centres.

That is why Spring Copenhagen also wishes to anchor its tree-planting work locally, so that children in the Roskilde area can benefit from the donation.

“We’re really pleased with Plant et Træ’s local focus, and that the planting is carried out together with children. We hope to extend this local aspect further, so that the planting takes place together with children from the Roskilde area, where the company is based,” says Claus Nielsen.
