Tonn-P's creations were characterised by a strong, harmonious expression, while the designs themselves were functional and contemporary. His favourite materials were paper, wood and clay. Only later did he take an interest in metals such as copper, pewter, silver and stainless steel. Tonn-P's products were marked by a confident design language that was both harmonious and typical of its time. He placed more emphasis on lightness, elegance and curved forms than on durability and practicality. To him, good design meant beauty, the clever or modern idea and fine materials.
