Nis Hauge is known for creating functional, easily recognisable products that retain elements of imagination and play. Nis Hauge works primarily in wood, but if a design works best with other materials, he happily brings in natural rubber, metal and textiles. Nis Hauge sees himself first and foremost as a problem solver. That's why he cares about little else than design being functional. He is detail-oriented and curious about materials and their properties. Driven by this curiosity, he develops designs that make a difference in everyday life. The core value is always that the design must be of such high quality that it can withstand being used and played with – whether it's toys or applied art, for the kitchen, the hallway or the children's room.
