Thor Høy crosses genres, universes, disciplines and, now and then, even himself. His overall palette points in many different directions, but there's a reason for that. When Thor designs, all of his experience comes into play and is used as a resource in a design universe that stretches from lamps and gold and silver jewellery under the Men Up North brand to the wooden Tumbler series he has developed for Spring Copenhagen. Thor Høy doesn't work with just one material. Day to day, he works with very different materials such as steel, glass, porcelain, wood, plastic, gold and silver. Even so, he keeps coming back to wood. Alongside sustainability, quality and thoroughly tested functionality, he strives to create and deliver poetry through his designs.
